Today my mom’s relatives are coming like every year. But it’s very small. Her two older sisters, brother-in-law, and nephew, that’s it. :3

I got a lot of good presents this year!!

Anyway, onto business!

Today I went to my “big sister” Kim’s apartment for a tree trimming party with my mom. A lot of her family was there, too. It was a few friends, her parents, in-laws, her younger brother, sister-in-law, and her newborn niece (which shall be the main highlight for this entry)!

Her brother recently had a baby around early September so they came to visit all the way from Chicago. And here’s the catch, Kim’s sister-in-law, Fumie, is Japanese so the baby was half-American, half-Japanese!!

The baby’s name is Mia. I guess she was given that name because it can both be an American and Japanese name.

And guess who got to hold her? Yup, I diiiiiid!! x3

Plus, it was my very first time holding a baby!

It felt so amazing! She was so small, soft, and very warm!

At first I was really nervous, but then I got used to it! ^^

Babies are lighter than I thought they would be, too! A few days ago I asked my friends, “What’s it like holding a baby?” and they reply with, “They’re heavy, plus you gotta be really careful while holding them.”

I even asked Mia-chan’s mama Fumie if she was gonna learn Japanese (since she’s half). Fumie said she’s gonna teach her when she gets older though. I even asked her if I can be her older sister, and she agreed. xDDD;;

Look how small her hands are!! Everytime I showed her my finger, she kept grabbing it and then squeezed it. I also realized Mia-chan’s nails are sharp even though they’re so tiny. She pricked me a few times with them. xDDD;;

Okay, since the holiday season is getting closer and closer, my mom likes to make Christmas cookies for our friends and family. So when I came home from school yesterday, I saw this on our kitchen table…

My mom was in the kitchen since 9 a.m. that day. I felt bad for her! And she has to bake a different batch of cookies again!

Ah well, at least they’re kickass good and filled with love, that’s all that matters! :3

By the way, I was baking today also…

Tomorrow is my mom’s birthday so I made a birthday cake!

And besides, I’m the one in charge of making birthday cakes for our family~ ;P

I feel so embarrassed right now.

I don’t think I’ve ever been this embarrassed until now!

Okay, so here’s the story.

So, it’s after lunch and I have Hypermedia class (Day B). When I went inside, my teacher seemed happy to see me. I went to log in to my computer and he comes up to me and says, “Oh yeah, Haley, I saw your blog.”.

First thing that came out was, “Eh? What do you mean?”

He was then all like, “Oh yesterday I was searching pictures of kanji characters on Google Images (his brother has studied in Japan before) and for some odd reason, there was a picture of you and it led me to your blog!”

Next thing that came out from me was, “Oh god! Are you serious!?”

He was indeed serious. He said it was pretty cool that I have been doing it for 2 years and I just felt totally embarrassed the whole time.

Now I feel weird that my teacher knows I write a blog. I wonder if he’ll still read it? Because if he’s reading it right now, he might tell me next class I meet him… xDDD;;

So, now that I’ve told you this story, I can tell you this story.

I started to watch Hana Kimi during the Thanksgiving break!

It’s pretty funny! Kind of like Ouran in a way! ;D

And while I was watching…it seems that…

I’ve fallen in love (again)! With an actor from the drama!

I also found out that…

He like Winnie the Pooh! Heck, he even collects Pooh goods!

It’s finally December! Yaaaay!

Wow, ‘09 is almost over already? That was fast!

It’s almost been a year since I became a JE fan! :D *claps*

And now that it’s December, Christmas is coming!! Only 24 days to go!

I’m definitely gonna be extra, extra good for Santa this year! x3

Plus I got an advent calendar like I do each year from my aunt and uncle so I can count off the days!

If I could die happy now, I would.

Because today, was one of the best days of my life as a H!P fan.

I got to meet Kago Ai at Mitsuwa Marketplace in Edgewater!!

She was promoting KDDI Mobile so when I heard she was gonna be 30 minutes away from me, I was like, “I must see Kago-chan no matter what! As long as I meet one H!P member in my life, even if they are former or current, I am satified!”.

So, my dad drove me there and we came at 11 a.m. even though the event started at 12:30 p.m. While I waited, I met two girls who were H!P fans for five years and chit-chatted with them! They were so nice! Now they’re my friends on Facebook! xDDD;;

And finally…

KAGO AI IN THE FLESH APPEARS!!!

KYAAAAAAA~!!!

I screamed like crazy. I kept shouting, “AIBON! AIBON DAISUKI!!”. Heck, I was even crying once I saw her! xDDD;; My emotions got builded up so much that before I realized it, a tear rolled down my cheek!

Kago-chan seemed really happy to see all of us! She was cuter than I imagined! Plus her English skills surprised me! She was pretty good! When she looked at the fans in our area we were standing she said, in English, “Where are you all from?”, and we (plus me of course) replied with, “NEW JERSEY!!”

So pretty much they explained about KDDI Mobile, in Japanese, blah, blah, blah. I could understand most of it but not all of it because it was kind of fast.

When the interviewer dude asked her about New York, Kago-chan said it was very artistic. And when he asked if she liked either Japan or America, Kago-chan answered, in English, “Both!”. xDDD It was soooo cute! Also, she did one her famous impersonations, Mei-chan from “My Neighbor Totoro”. Both in Japanese AND English! And I must say, it did sound like Mei-chan! I shouted, in Japanese, “Cute! It sounds like her!”.

After that, there was a raffle. One for free mobile service if you get a KDDI Mobile phone and phone straps. There were blue and red tickets distributed to the customers at the event. Obviously, my number wasn’t called. Raffles like these are hard to get so of course it’s hard to win easily.

And after the event ended, TIME FOR THE HANDSHAKE EVENT!!

However, there were a few conditions. People with blue tickets got to shake her hand and take a picture with her and people with red tickets only got to shake her hand. Unfortunately, I had a red ticket. ;_;

But, it was the best experience of my life!

(Note: Some of this might not be 100% accurate. I was too excited that I kind of forgot what happened! xDDD;;)

As soon as I saw Kago-chan, I shook her hand and said, in Japanese, “I’m a big fan! You’re so cute!”. She smiled at me and said, “Thank you!”. And then, we parted with a “bye-bye”.

It. Was. Amazing.

Being able to meet a H!P idol is a wonderful feeling.

Ooh! When the press interviewed her, an American reporter asked her about Tsuji-chan. When he asked if she was going to sing with her again, she said, “I don’t think so.”.

And, that was pretty much it.

That was such a fufilling day!

I wish I could repeat it again! x3

Someday, I hope I get to see her again!

Kago-chan, please definitely return to New Jersey if your schedule allows you!

We’ll all be waiting for you with open arms! <333
